Orange sorbet recipe


4 big oranges
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of orange liqueur (optional)
Fresh mint for garnish (optional)

Prepare orang:
Wash the oranges thoroughly under cold water.
Peel the oranges with a sharp knife and remove the entire shell and white skin. Make sure to keep as much as possible from the pulp.
Extract juice:
Halve the peeled oranges and remove the seeds.
Press the juice from the oranges with a citrus press or a juicer. You should get about 2 cups of fresh orange juice.
Prepare sugar solution:
Mix water and sugar in a saucepan.
Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. Stir occasionally to ensure that the sugar is evenly distributed.
Let the sugar solution cool.
